BDU VC urges to hold in mind the great sacrifices of the best children of the nation

Honorable Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor paid homage to the best children of the nation at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Dhaka on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day. On Tuesday morning, December 14, the BDU Vice-Chancellor laid a wreath at the memory of the nation's best children, martyrs, intellectuals, who were the victims of the infernal massacre at the hands of the Pakistani aggressors and their local collaborators Al-Badr-Razakar on December 14, 1971. University Registrar (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashraf Uddin, Senior Systems Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Education Department Head (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Information and Communication Technology Department Assistant Professor Samsuddin Ahmed, Information and Communication Technology Department Head (Acting) Farzana Akter University teachers, officials and other employees were present at that time. After handing over the wreaths, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor said that at the end of the Liberation War in 1971, the Pakistani aggressors started surrendering in different parts of the country and when the Pakistanis realized their inevitable defeat, the Pakistani army and their allies Al-Badr, Razakar forces, captured and killed the talented people of different classes and professions. The Vice-Chancellor said that the intellectuals formed public opinion with the aim of establishing an independent and sovereign Bangladesh. They were vocal against the various inequalities, injustices and oppressions of the society. They were working to develop the human psyche. Calling upon the people to work for the development of the country, the Vice-Chancellor said that the young generation should work together to build a prosperous Bangladesh by 2041 under the able leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, bearing in mind the great sacrifices of the best children of the nation. At this time Hon'ble Vice Chancellor prayed for peace of the departed souls of the martyred intellectuals.
